THE LONG AWAITED FILM SERIES RETURNS:
The Arts Council presents five films this season, showing Sundays at 2PM and Tuesday evenings at 7PM. Films are showing at the Foothills Performing Arts Center on Market Street here in Oneonta.

Feb 28 & March 2: Last Tango in Paris
March 14 & 16: It Might Get Loud
March 28 & 30: Good Hair
April 11& 13: Bienvenidos a Flieishchmanns
The film series is funded in part by the New York State Council of the Arts and membership. If you are not already a member call us today to become one and recieve a discount on the film series tickets!
Our next exhibition opens January 8, 2010. Our galleries will then display the work of David Mackenzie and Vincent Devine.

Artist Participation:
For artist interested in teaching classess, professional development or the CROP program, please check back in February to complete an on-line form.
Looking to get involved? Just a little or lot? The Arts Council is looking for volunteers to devote whatever time they have available to work with us in our galleries, at our events, or with our newsletter! Whatever time and talent you have contribute, bring it to us...interested?

The Upper Catskill Community Council of the Arts invites you to join us for our 6th Annual Chili Bowl!
February 7th from 1-4PM we are serving local Chili from local area contestants participating in the Chili Throwdown!
Start at the door, buy one of the hand thrown, decoratively embellished and beautifully glazed bowls created by one of our local area artists and come on in!
Brewery Ommegang will be on hand to serve samples of their famous brews!
Chili Bowl is one of the Arts Council's largest fundraisers. Please come support our ability to continue to supply quality arts programming in schools, art classes for the youngest to the oldest here at Wilber Mansion, our film series, exhibits and the grant programs we administer! Funds also support beautiful Wilber Mansion and the Carriage House, which currently houses a fully functioning ceramic studio and upstairs class room space!

Strategic Opportunity Stipend (SOS)
The Strategic Opportunity Stipend helps individual artists in all disciplines take advantage of unique opportunities that significantly benefit their work or career development. Literary, media, visual, music and theater artists may request support ranging from $100 to $600 for specific, forthcoming opportunities that are distinct from work in progress. This grant is funded by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA).
